This peel is applied to intensively resurface the skin and reveal a
complexion that is naturally clearer, fresher, brighter, plumper and pigment free. TCA also reduces ongoing pigment production, helping to improve the
appearance of sun damaged skins.
Many clients experience medium to intense heat and discomfort, with the skin often still feeling warm and tender post-treatment. We can help alleviate discomfort during treatment by fanning or tapping the skin.
Precare:
If you are prone to cold sores, we recommend using an over-the-counter prophylactic to reduce the risk of pre-treatment breakout.
Aftercare:
Take it easy on your skin for five days, or until any reactions have
subsided. Use a gentle cleanser morning and night, along with a moisturiser or your prescribed post-treatment product. As always, you should avoid direct sunlight, and wear a high SPF sunscreen and hat whenever outdoors. The skin will flake following treatment but must not be picked at under any
circumstances.
After a few hours, pigmentation looks darker and forms a light-to-dark brown sheath. After five days, visible shedding and dryness will occur and may
persist for up to 10-days. Your skin may appear darker during the shedding period due to pigment being released from the skin. This is nothing to be concerned about and the skin will lighten once shedding ceases.
We recommend a course of one to two treatments at four to six week
intervals, followed by a review. Treatment number and intervals will be reviewed by your clinician based on your unique concerns.
